Nevertheless, in Fayette County, there exists a unique place where the community has never experienced a period without such a facility. In 1922, M.W. Brown established Brown's Service Station upon his return from World War I, recognizing the burgeoning prominence of automobiles. Unlike many other service stations, the team at Brown's not only dispenses fuel but also offers complimentary services, including windshield cleaning and, upon request, oil level inspections.
