Description: The Salt Sulphur Well & Veterans Memorial in Webster Springs, West Virginia, stands as a poignant tribute to the county's military service members. Drilled in 1937, the 120-foot-deep well was dedicated by the U.S. Secretary of War during the 1938 Rhododendron Festival to honor local veterans. In 2001, the memorial underwent renovation, and a new veterans' wall was erected, reinforcing its role as a place of reflection and gratitude for the sacrifices made by Webster County's servicemen and women
