Description: Located alongside the Mississippi on Riverview Drive, the Clinton County Freedom Rock bears the artistic touch of Ray Bubba Sorensen. It showcases powerful images of prominent figures, including Lt. Col. Russell W. Volckmann, American paratrooper Henry Langrehr, two Medal of Honor recipients from Clinton County, and three astronauts with ties to the area. Ray Bubba Sorensen initiated the endeavor of painting Freedom Rocks to honor veterans in all of Iowa's 99 counties back in 2013, and the Clinton County rock became the 94th in his remarkable series.
