Description: Standing at an impressive height of 45 feet and boasting a weight of 11,000 pounds, Hugh Mongous is truly a colossal figure. Originally spelled as "Hu-Mungus," this iconic character garnered attention for his sheer size and presence. In 1985, there arose a debate at Ocean Breeze Waterpark regarding the role of Hugh within the park's offerings. However, the tide shifted in his favor when children rallied in support of his presence, solidifying his position as a beloved member of the Ocean Breeze family. On the 10th of May in 1985, Hugh underwent a transformation that rejuvenated his appearance. Unfortunately, in January 1989, the original Hugh Mongous suffered severe burns, requiring medical attention. After a period of recuperation, Hugh made a triumphant return to his prominent place at Ocean Breeze Waterpark and Virginia Beach in 1996.
