Description: In 1908, John Conrad established the silver mines in the Windy Arm district and commissioned the construction of the Venus Mill. This move aimed to alleviate the steep expenses associated with transporting silver ore out of the region. Unfortunately, by 1912, John Conrad faced financial hardship and declared bankruptcy. The property was subsequently acquired by Yukon District Gold in 1918, but they operated it for just two years before ultimately discontinuing the project.
