Description: Indian Manufacturing Company, established by George M. Hendee and Carl Oscar Hedstrom, was responsible for manufacturing motorcycles in Springfield between 1901 and 1953. Within the museum's collection, there are over twenty motorcycles generously contributed by Esta Manthos, who co-founded and served as president of the former Indian Motocycle Museum on Hendee Street in Springfield from 1974 to 2006.
