Description: Cloverland finds its place within Asotin County, Washington. In the early 1900s, this area saw its initial settlement with aspirations of establishing orchards and cultivating various crops. However, these endeavors proved unsuccessful, leaving the residents of Cloverland to rely on livestock and grain farming for their livelihoods. During its peak in the year 1910, Cloverland boasted a population of around 400 inhabitants. Presently, the vestiges of the 1900s are scarce, with only a handful of buildings standing as echoes of that era. Among these structures is the "garage" building, which originally served as a store and was later repurposed into a garage in 1918. Notably, the proprietor of this garage possessed expertise in automotive repair and established the sole dealership in the vicinity. Just a short distance from the garage, one will come across a church and the Cloverland cemetery, both marking the historical landscape of this once-thriving community.
