Description: Anclote Key Lighthouse is a historic beacon located on Anclote Key, a barrier island off the coast of Tarpon Springs, Florida. Situated within the Anclote Key Preserve State Park, the lighthouse has been guiding mariners through the treacherous waters of the Gulf of Mexico since its construction in 1887. The lighthouse stands at a height of approximately 100 feet (30 meters) and is made of iron and steel.
