Description: The lighthouse on Île Sainte-Hélène stands as a quiet observer of Montreal's transformation since the early 20th century. It ceased operation around 1959, as I understand, coinciding with the opening of the Seaway. Since then, all its operational components have been taken away, but the tower itself remains mostly undisturbed. However, in its neglected state, it is gradually succumbing to the effects of time and weather.
