Description: The Goldston Veterans Memorial comprises multiple components. At its center, there is a black granite tablestone with a gable top, featuring a laser-etched depiction of the iconic World War II flag-raising scene at Iwo Jima. Flanking this central stone are gray granite tablestone pieces that rise at an angle, meeting the midpoint of the centerpiece. The front sides of these side stones bear the names of veterans from World War I, World War II, and the Korean War, organized into three columns. On the back sides of these stones are inscribed the names of veterans from the Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, Iraq War, and Peace Time service. The rear of the central stone showcases the Great Seal of the United States etched near the top, followed by the emblems representing the five branches of the military, forming a distinctive V shape below. To accommodate additional names, separate black granite tablestones with gable tops have been positioned on both sides of the main memorial element. The memorial is situated on a spacious concrete courtyard. On the rear edge of the courtyard, several rows of black granite memorial stones are placed. Along the front edge, there are four granite memorial benches. A single sidewalk leads from the parking area to the heart of the memorial. On the left side, where the sidewalk intersects with the courtyard, there is a granite lectern-style marker featuring a bronze plaque displaying "The American Creed." The memorial area is further enhanced with the presence of three flagpoles, strategically placed lighting, and scattered shrubs, creating a solemn and dignified atmosphere.
