Description: A memorial to Burt Loper, a pioneer in the sport of whitewater river-running, stands alongside an exact replica of the Athena Missile. The original Athena Missile was launched from the White Sands Missile Range near Green River, Utah, on February 10th, 1962, and this replica faithfully recreates it.
