Description: The unusual above-ground tunnel by the roadside, which seemingly led to nowhere, had become a canvas for graffiti created by people passing by. In response, Arno Hennig, who was the mayor of Greenwood at the time, decided to address this issue by covering the graffiti with flags representing various countries from around the world. Hennig eventually transformed this project into a community-driven initiative for the new millennium. By the year 2000, thanks to the efforts of volunteers, the exterior wall of the tunnel was adorned with a total of 210 flags from different countries.
