Description: If heading to Big Bend NP, bring you passport and cross into Mexico for lunch in Boquillas del Carmen. Check in with the US border control, and head down the to river. Depending on the water flow you can either wade across or our southern neighbors will come get you in a row boat. Heading into town give you some more options: walk roughly a mile in the high desert, rent a mule for $5, rent a horse for $10, or take a ride in the back of a truck (cost unknown). Once arriving into town you need to pay a $3 park fee before exploring the village. Venders are on the street, eat at one of the couple eating venues (menus very selective but delicious) and if you have time visit the museum. What ever you do be mindful of the curfew of you needing to be back at the US border checkin before 4 pm, as I didn't see any boarding house in town.
