Description: Herr's Mill Covered Bridge, also known as Soudersburg Bridge, was originally built in 1844 and spanned the Pequea Creek in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. This bridge featured a double-span, wooden, double Burr arch truss design and was one of the longest in Lancaster County at 178 feet. It was historically significant and painted red, following the traditional color scheme of covered bridges in the area. In 2020, the bridge was relocated to Stone Gables Estate near Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, where it was restored and preserved. The relocation was part of a broader effort to maintain the historical integrity of the structure while providing a new venue for public enjoyment and education
