Description: The Lime Valley Covered Bridge, also known as the Strasburg Bridge, is a historic structure located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1871 by Joseph Cramer or Elias McMellen at a cost of $3,500, this bridge spans 103 feet across the Pequea Creek. It features a single-span, wooden, double Burr arch truss design, reinforced with steel hanger rods, and is painted red with white approaches, which is typical for covered bridges in Lancaster County. The bridge was originally a twin to another covered bridge built in 1857 that stood nearby. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a notable example of 19th-century bridge construction in the area, offering picturesque views and a glimpse into the region's history
