Description: Baumgardner's Covered Bridge, also known as Pequea #10 Bridge, spans Pequea Creek in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1860 by Davis Kitch for $1,284, the bridge features a single-span, wooden, double Burr arch truss design with additional steel hanger rods. The bridge is 120 feet long and 15 feet wide, and it is painted red with white approaches, a traditional color scheme for Lancaster County covered bridges. In 1987, it was restored following flood damage from the previous year, a project that cost $200,000 and included raising the bridge by four feet and lengthening it by nine feet to prevent future flood damage. Baumgardner's Covered Bridge is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and remains open to traffic, providing a scenic and historic route for visitors
