Description: The Garner Veterans Memorial, located in Lake Benson Park at 921 Buffaloe Road, Garner, North Carolina, was established to honor all veterans, especially those who died in conflict and war. The memorial, dedicated on May 4, 2013, features rows of tall, engraved rectangular concrete slabs that detail the military conflicts of each decade from the 1770s to the 2000s. The slabs are made from Mount Airy Granite and have a unique design to simulate North Carolina red clay. Names of Garner-area veterans who died in service are inscribed on smaller slabs facing north along the path, and the memorial includes reflection benches and the Walkway of Honor, where engraved bricks honor other veterans. The site offers a serene space for reflection and remembrance, and it is maintained by the Town of Garner. The memorial is open daily from sunrise to sunset
