  • This is a great back road from Hwy 39 into the village of Gowanda. The Zoar Valley Tavern is a popular stop, and so is Gowanda Harley Davidson. The road hugs the Cattaraugus Creek, and has some great tight curves. It's also typical of a lot of Western NY back roads in that it has a lot of frost heaves, and blind and decreasing radius curves. It's a fun road, but not a place to let your attention wander.
