Description: Start your trip from historic downtown Granbury TX heading west on RT 4. The first half of the trip will take you through open range land with long sweepers and straight-a-ways. Stop to stretch the legs, gas up, and hydrate in Santo. Once on the road again you will be treated with scenic valleys and twisty roads until Palo Pinto. If you're into old county courthouses stop and see this rustic structure. The road from here may not have the fun curves but it still takes you through the countryside that is North Texas. If you miss turning west on Chaney Ln, don't worry RT 4 will take you to 254, as will Chaney Ln. head west to RT 16, which in turn will take you to the lookout overlooking Possum Kingdom dam. As you explore the western shores of the lake there is sevel mom & pop eateries, otherwise head north on Rt 16 to Graham for more traditional options - Lloyd Condon
